South African actress Shalate Sekhabi, famously known for playing the role of Shoki on House of Zwide, celebrated her birthday in July this year. The actress did that with a photoshoot which she posted on Instagram, letting her fans know it was her 22nd birthday. However, it has taken her two months to finally hold the celebrations and host a party which she has excitedly shared on her social media pages.
In her shoot back on her birthday, she was rocking a pink dress and holding pink balloons, and on her Tik Tok, she shared a video singing Taylor Swift’s song 22. At her age, she has managed to accomplish a lot in life and is a household name with her rising acting and music career.
Shalate Sekhabi’s birthday party
The House of Zwide actress shared a series of pictures on her Instagram of how she celebrated her birthday after two months. She held a party where people dressed up in formal evening attires to her party. The guests wore black and white evening wear while the birthday girl rocked a long pink boob tube dress.
Her father, Audrey Sekhabi, walked her into the party holding her hand and was part of the celebrations. The actress, who does not like to ride on her famous father’s name, finally shared pictures of herself with him. News broke out recently that the House of Zwide was related to the award-winning playwright/director. Shalate has not wanted to ride on her father’s fame and did not share his pictures on Instagram.
The venue was well decorated by Liculo decor events with all shades of pink balloons and a white tent. Wine and champagne were served with a buffet of different food and snacks. The cake was a two-tier pink cake decorated with butterflies and roses. The actress had a lifetime and shared a video of herself rapping along to Nicki Minaj’s song Moment for life. Indeed this was her moment for life.

Fellow cast mate and close friend Nefisa Mkhabela and many other followers commented on Shalate’s celebrations. They said it was a lovely event and complimented her on her dress and cute makeup looks from the photos. Some said it was a celebration worthy of a princess and wished the actress a happy birthday.
