Rapper Reason has recently received way too many social media jabs from fans. This comes after he expressed his distaste for the lyrics of rapper AKA, saying that they caused him problems. Reason has expressed his displeasure with the lyrics of AKA’s newest song, which he claims contain contentious lyrics. He has spoken out to say that these lyrics caused him great difficulty. It is unknown whether AKA criticised some of his hip-hop peers who left the group to work with Amapiano.
“It bothers me to hear @akaworldwide say, “Thank God they showed they true colours/Switched up piano like Vultures.” especially coming from a rapper saying it on an Afrobeat song. Like, precisely about whom are you talking? Provide examples. “Reason wrote
Tweeps have since advised Reason to take several seats because he wasn’t the target of this jab. A fan who replied to Reason’s tweet informed him that AKA wasn’t making any digs at his nonexistent rap career and that he has never been a significant artist, so he shouldn’t worry about it. Reason continued by describing how the lyrics make him feel attacked as a rapper and hip-hop artist. Reason claims that the lyrics are problematic since they are from AKA’s most recent song, which is more Afro Beats than hip hop. AKA did not name the person specifically to whom he was referring, but Reason caught smoke and decided to apologize on Twitter.
Tweeps are convinced that Reason is making the whole situation about himself when, in fact, it isn’t about him because he hasn’t recently released a hit song. Additionally, they believe he is attempting to trend at AKA’s expense.
AKA’s supporters rebuffed the rapper:
“He’s finished recording; there is no way he could have waited three days. He now wants to trend a little before releasing by responding to a line not addressed to him.” commented Space.
“My guy, your season has come to an end, so halt the cap,” wrote Lumu
“He wants to take advantage of the circumstance. He wants to take centre stage and make it all about him,” said Tee.
“None of his career moments were bigger than Ifani,” said Wonder
Reason why was recently listed among nineteen other rappers as the worst rapper in South Africa. He did not find it amusing to be called a worse rapper because he took to Twitter to refute the claims by retweeting and cursing at the people who made the claim.
