Master KG’s Jerusalema remix goes diamond in France
Master KG seems to be having a good year thanks to his global runaway hit song Jerusalema.
Whilst the original version of the song has inspired a global dance challenge with people all over the world posting videos of themselves with the hashtag #JerusalemaDanceChallenge, nothing has been said about the remix. Until now.
Jerusalema remix which features Nomcebo who is on the original and a verse from Nigerian superstar Burna Boy has set a record in France of all places. This just goes on to prove that language is not a barrier when it comes to music.
Master KG took to Twitter to celebrate the milestone. Jerusalema remix featuring Burna Boy and Nomcebo has gone diamond in the European country.

This means that the song was streamed at least 35 million times for it to be awarded the accolade.
France recently updated its certification levels. Before 2016 a song would be certified diamond for sales exceeding a quarter-million units. This was however changed due to the increased digitisation of music through the advent of streaming services.
A number of people congratulated Master KG on his latest achievement.
Two months ago, the song was announced as the most Shazamed song in the world. At the end of July, Shazam had the song at number 4 on its global top 200.
Shazam congratulated Master KG, on the feat. The official video of the song has surpassed 200 million views on YouTube.
In related news, Savanna News reported that Nomcebo who features as the vocalist on Jerusalema, signed a deal with Sony ATV.
