South African actress Thando Dlomo has been best known as one of Oprah Winfrey’s Daughters in Mzansi. Having had a relationship with Oprah since she was a teenager, they are currently like family with a strong relationship and love for each other. Recently Thando Dlomo has expanded the acting side of her business empire after landing roles in two International productions.

Thando Dlomo was one of the 72 girls that were lucky enough to be accepted into the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy when it was first opened. The actress was lucky enough to grow close to the self-made billionaire and grow to be family to her. She is also a hard worker who has proved to herself that anything is possible, as well as not let down Oprah Winfrey, who believed in her.

Thando Dlomo’s acting career

After completing her studies at The Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy, Thando Dlomo graduated with flying colours from JSCU, where she studied for a degree in Communications while minoring in theatre. She studied for her Master’s in Journalism at the University of Southern Carolina. Recently she was announced as part of the cast of the upcoming International series Shaka Zulu Warrior king.

Thando Dlomo has been part of the recently debuted The Woman King which has been the talk of the world in recent weeks. Before that, stretching to the days Thando was still at school, she has been part of over thirty theatre productions. She was also part of the cast of OWN’s Oprah Winfrey’s daughters and has been on television a lot, talking about how Oprah changed her life.

Currently, the South African entertainer is working for Entertainment Tonight in America as an Associate Producer for the team. She joins the list of South African talents making it big in the USA, such as Thuso Mbedu, Trevor Noah, Nomzamo Mbatha and many more. Recently she made many headlines after vacationing in Italy with Nomzamo proving that she works as hard as she plays. Thando Dlomo is rumoured to have a net worth of R9 million, with most of her earnings coming from her acting and presenting career.
