Zoe Modiga Verified Instagram Account Hacked
Singer Zoe Modiga took to Twitter to announce that her verified Instagram account was hacked.
She revealed that the hackers took control of her Instagram account this morning.
Zoe added that all her attempts to access her Instagram account were fruitless.
She said: “To all my music lovers, my verified ZOË MODIGA Instagram account has just been hacked this morning.
“All my attempts to access it have failed. I’m trying to sort this out urgently. If anyone has experienced this and/or has solutions, kindly share. Thank you.”
Zoe Modiga’s Instagram account had over 18 000 followers.
She released a 16-track album, Inganekwane – the Zulu word for fairytale – in June this year.
A number of international and local celebrities have been unfortunate enough to find themselves in Zoe’s predicament.
In most cases, there is no other option other than to open a new Instagram account.
A number of Zoe’s followers on Twitter advised her to seek assistance from Zoliswa Zolfreckles whose account was hacked before she successfully retrieved it back.
A user Tsepo mark-donovan tsotetsi said, “Please chat to Zoliswa Zolfreckles, she had her account hacked and got it her account back.” Mkabayi suggested the same and even tagged Zoliswa in his reply to Zoe’s tweet saying, “Hey Zoe, ask @zolfreckles if she can assist. She experienced the same thing recently.”
Recent victims of social media account hacks include former US president Barack Obama, Kim Kardashian, Kanye West, and Thishiwe Ziqubu, just to mention a few.
