Zindzi Mandela the daughter of the late President Nelson Mandela dies, she was aged 59. Zindzi passed away at a Johannesburg hospital in the early hours of this morning.

Zindzi was the youngest daughter of Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela and Nomzamo Winnie Madikizela, Zindzi spent many years involved in South Africa’s freedom struggle. Since then, she has embraced roles in the arts, philanthropy and business.
She is a co-founder of the Mandela Legacy Foundation and is also Managing Trustee of the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund.
She was serving as South Africa’s ambassador to Denmark.
Mandela is survived by her four children and her husband.

Oh this is gut wrenching.. I really liked this lady. She was so intelligent and fearless and fiercely loved South Africa. I remember her obliterating racists here on Twitter. But at least she’s now with her mother. Ulale ngokthula mama.
