Zakes Bantwini, a platinum selling artist is celebrating his 40th birthday but that is not the only thing the multiple award-winning musician and producer is commemorating. The artist has just been accepted at Harvard University’s Business School to study The Business of Entertainment, Music and Sport.As if that is not enough Zakes is also commemorating the 10th anniversary of his ‘Love, Light and Music’ album and is launching an international dance label called ‘All Electronic Music’ in the upcoming year.

In an Instagram reportedly recorded by his wife today, Nandi Madinda, the Nomathemba singer shared the news of his acceptance on his page with the following caption:
“Just in time for Birthday, last week I received an email from Harvard Business School accepting my application to study THE BUSINESS OF ENTERTAINMENT, MUSIC and SPORT, I was elated at the news and I knew that this year is a special one indeed. I’m turning 40, I’m going to Harvard, my Love, light and Music album turns 10 years, I’m launching an international dance label ALL ELECTRONIC MUSIC. This is indeed a special Day #happybirthdaytome #harvardbusinessschool #ghettoking,” reads the message.

Zakes also took to social media in the early hours of the morning to have a true discussion with Nandi about his life and lifestyle.
In an video which lasted for about for an hour, the duo discussed things like how Zakes in February 2006 managed to turn his life around within eight months.
Celebrities from the entertainment industry, as well as his fans and followers wished Zakes a happy birthday, congratulated him on his achievements and thanked Nandi and him for the informative midnight discussion.
