The return of Rockville will see the introduction of new characters to the much loved Ferguson show. Thuli Phongolo and Wiseman Zitha will be joining the cast of one of Mzansi’s favourite series as confirmed by The Entertainment Alert.
While the series will see the return of part of the old cast, viewers can expect to see new characters joining the series. Thuli Phongolo and Wiseman Zitha will be onboard the Ferguson production, Rockville as it returns on screen for a fifth series.
Wiseman Zitha will play a young man who will do whatever it takes for the bag, including marrying an older wman. Wiseman made his on screen debut on SABC 2’s Giyani and has since been a favourite. The actor also bagged the role of Mondli on The River, shaking Andile and Njabulo’s relationship.
Thuli Phongolo began her actingcaree in the SABC’s Tshisa. She also played Namhla Diale on Generations: The Legacy. The actress also scored a role on The Republic aside veteran actor, Siyabonga Thwala. Interestingly, Thuli is also a DJ! Thuli Phongolo will play the role of Buhle who comes to Joburg to make a living. Unfortunately her desire to make a living and support her family draws her into the dark world.
Wiseman Zitha and Thuli Phongolo to star on Rockville
The Ferguson produced show is set to make a return to our screens this year with production having already started. The series was produced by the Fergusons and written by Pathutshedzo Makwarela and Gwydion Beynon. Rockville was one of the Ferguson’s first big productions.The show ran for 4 seasons before being cancelled. The story followed the lives of the middle class Mabaso Family and that of the working class family, Mabaso.
While the direction of the series’ fifth season is unknown, a recap is important.
