Well Paid, Actress Duduzile Ngcobo’s salaries on Durban Gen and Isifiso compared.

South African actor Duduzile Ngcobo is a household name, and many South African viewers know her for her vast acting experience. She rose to fame with her role in Uzalo, playing Babekazi, a drunkard who had a relationship with Gabisile. However, after leaving the show, the actress got known for her role as the big boss on Durban Gen before joining the prestigious cast of Isifiso.

Duduzile playing Superintendent Qwabe in Durban Gen

Everyone at the hospital knows her as their feared big boss who runs the hospital and its staff on a tight leash. Even though she sometimes slips, she acts like she has every aspect of her life in order. When the first season began, she was dating a fellow doctor at the hospital who she did not want to go public with. However, this was until Matron Nkabinde set her sights on the good doctor, and her relationship was threatened.

However, her lover got sick and had to seek medication overseas, and both packed their bags. Qwabe returned later, took over her original job, and introduced the knowledge she had gained. Qwabe is part of the series’ recurring cast, and her role is vital to the drama series. Because of this, the showrunners pay her an estimated R45 000 per month, depending on the number of scenes she plays in.

Duduzile as Mangobese on Isifiso and her salary

A few weeks ago, prime-time viewers were introduced to Mangobese, a villain with a twerk. She is a mother-in-law from hell who does not filter her insults to her daughter or son-in-law. Mangobese has two daughters, and the younger one, who was married to a rich man, was her favourite. However, she ridiculed her oldest, Bazo, so much till she killed her sister out of jealousy.

After her young daughter dies, Mangobese pushes Bazo to go live with her dead sister’s husband. Under her mother’s influence, Bazo sent her husband packing and paid him some peanuts. Duduzile brings the character to life and keeps viewers begging for more. The showrunner pays her handsomely for the role at R55 000. Her character is one of the lead roles, and she gets paid more than her Durban Gen role.
