SABC1 released a new thrilling and gripping show with an action-packed and mysterious storyline. As mentioned, the drama is called The Executives and promises to be a heavy hit. The show is looming on the small South African screens. South Africans will get the opportunity to watch the show from Sunday.
In the trailer, we see people panicking about the murder of a young woman, and this all leads point to the main character Bonginkosi Khumalo. Bonginkosi Khumalo is on the verge of being appointed as the next Concourt Judge of Ilanga Province. The actor and presenter Lesley Musina play Bonginkosi. We also see him sometime later in the trailer saying he is a mighty and affluent man; hence, he has so much drama in his life.
According to the character, he has to look out for himself as his enemies are working overtime to tarnish his name. During the trailer, he is the number one suspect, with journalists hounding him when he gets out of his car. His loved ones are slightly disappointed at the probability of him being guilty.
The Executives tells a very relevant story in South Africa. More often than not, we hear stories of people getting murdered so other people could get into powerful positions. Having this thrilling story on the screens will be gripping.
Fezile Makhanya, who plays the role of Nkosinathi Cele, is also on the show, and he plays a high-profile attorney. Another prominent actor is the eTV Scandal actor who plays Jojo Khubela, and his real name is Melusi Mbele.
Camilla Waldman, who gained popularity in South Africa when she acted on the soapie Generations and played the role of Anne de Villiers, will also be an actress on the show. The first South African model with albinism Refiloe Modiselle is also a cast member on The Executives. She is a model and a presenter, and we have rarely seen her acting. It will be refreshing to see what she brings to the screen.
Elements of the show viewers can also expect are the complexities of infidelity. The main character is a married man, but he later gets himself a mistress. She threatens to ruin his life and marriage when he tries to break up with her. In the trailer, we see her saying she will destroy everything he and his wife have built and then dance around the fire naked.
His cheating and the controversy happening in his life will also cause frustration in his marriage. At some point, his wife is fed up, and she throws a massive tantrum by telling him he is no longer the man she married. The main character then tries hard to calm his wife down, but his efforts seem to go south.
South Africans reacted to the trailer and said the show promised to be a fascinating one. Some commented and said SABC 1 has their full attention, and they will be viewers without a doubt. From the trailer, they can see a lot of drama and entertainment.
