Mzali wami has been one of the most-watched drama series on Mzansi Magic in the past year. The versatile drama series that shed light on kidnapping and human trafficking syndicates has announced that it’s airing the second season of the show starting today on Mzansi Magic. Lusanda Mbane replaces Masasa Mbangeni playing the role of Joyce on the drama Tv show.

The drama series debuted on Mzansi magic with the story of a human trafficking syndicate run by Terror; a role played by Dumisani Mbede. The story follows Ntokozo; a twenty-year-old girl kidnapped at birth by the woman she believes is her biological mother. However, when she moves to Johannesburg, everything changes.

Joyce gets entangled in a human trafficking situation which her biological mother is unknowingly a part of at first. All the events that follow make Joyce realize that Ntokozo is her child and is reunited with her long lost daughter. The first season ends with Ntokozo learning the truth about what really happened to her as a child, not the lies she was fed.

In the second season of Mzali wami Ntokozo and Joyce are trying their new lives and trying to catch up on the lost years as mother and daughter. However, not all stories have happy endings after all. Terror and Sibongile join forces to try and fight Joyce for her part in the losses they suffered.

New faces are being added to the cast as Lusanda Mbane replaces Masasa Mbangeni as Joyce on the series. Lusanda Mbane is famously known for playing villainous roles on Tv. She is famous for playing Boniswa on etv’s scandal until her character was killed off. After her Scandal role, she played Makhosazana on the Durban based nighttime series Imbewu the seed. Loyiso Mcdonald is also joining the series playing the role of Lungelo.

However, Lungelo Mpangase is reprising her role of Ntokozo, Nolwazi Shange gets to keep playing her role as Sibongile. Dumisani Mbede gets to keep playing his role as the villainous Terror as Oros Mampofu also returns as Musa.
