Walter Mzembi says he is still to recover from Colon Cancer disease.
Former Tourism Minister Walter Mzembi has revealed he is battling colon cancer in South Africa and hopes to recover.
He left the country in 2017 following the coup that removed Robert Mugabe and replaced him with Emmerson Mnangagwa. The former Foreign Affairs Minister was part of the G40 Zanu PF faction that was wrestling Mnangagwa’s Lacoste faction.
Mzembi, revealed that he is still battling the disease that has just killed political activist Patson Dzamara and former Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai.

Mzembi was responding Zanu PF apologist Kuda Mtisi’s Tweet when e revealed the First Lad Auxillia Mnangagwa, who runs a cancer foundation, refused to assist him with his predicament.
Kuda Mutisi Tweeted,
“When l become MP in 2023, l will push for Free Cancer Treatment for all. Cancer treatment is very expensive & families are left in a very bad situation financially. The physically & emotional pain caused by cancer is just too much, at least save the families financial pain.”
Walter Mzembi replied:
First Lady has a Cancer Foundation of sorts , I don’t know what has happened to all the hype, I approached it when I needed support for my own predicament with Cancer in 2018 , dead silence , i guessed it was not for their perceived enemies!
Asked about which type of cancer he has Mzembi replied
Colon, still receiving treatment to this day . You need strong bouts of faith ahead of any treatment or surgery because Cancer counselling is brutal , it drains all hope , so you need strong genuine intercession . Doctors sometimes are cold blooded.
