Video: Prince Kaybee announces album release date
Prince Kaybee has announced the 5th of March as the release date for his fourth studio offering, ‘The 4th Republic. To market his upcoming album, Prince Kaybee is doing some weekly music mixes dubbed ‘The road to 4th Republic. In these mixes he incorporates unreleased tracks and the mixes are being every Friday till the album is released on the 5th of March.

Kaybee has already released one of the tracks titled ‘Ebabayo’which features the lovely Nokwazi. The song has received positive remarks which hints that the album might be worth listening to. Prince Kaybee fanatics have began pre ordering the album online. Although the official playlist is yet to be revealed, fans are expecting around tracks. Amongst the features, Kaybee worked with upcoming female artist ‘Tyla of the hit single ‘Getting late’.
The 4th Republic is Prince Kaybee’s fourth studio album. Spearheaded by the mammoth success of the Msaki-assisted “Fetch Your Life”, Prince Kaybee’s third studio album, ‘Re Mmino’, shot the South African DJ/producer into a higher stratosphere of fame at the time of its release. The 2019 album also spawned multiple smash hits, including “Gugulethu” and “Club Controller”, going on to win Best Dance album at the 2020 South African Music Awards.
In the period since his last album, Prince Kaybee has been quite busy, turning out the splendid “Uwrongo”, alongside Ami Faku, Black Motion and Shimza, as well as the Sir Trill-assisted “Hosh”. Last October, he collaborated with nine new female artists on ‘Project Hope (Season 1)’, a 9-song compilation project curated from sourcing out rising, talented women via social media.
The producer features several upcoming artists on the album, giving music lovers a chance to experience new voices. His first single release from the album is a collaboration with vocalist Nokwazi titled Ebabayo. He had this to say;
“Nokwazi adds so much colour to the music. The song wasn’t originally meant to be as vibey. If you listen to the instrumentation sonically, she comes in and adds so much energy to the song. That’s exactly how I imagined it to be,” said the DJ, whose real name is Kabelo Motsamai.
