KZN based forex trading company director Prince Nkosinathi Mazibuko has refuted claims by media outlets that he was arrested and charged with194 counts of fraud, theft and the contravention of various financial acts.
The flamboyant dodgy businessman has been accused of fleecing hs customers of their hard-earned money through his shady forex trading deals.
He is reported to have asked for money from over 200 customers so he would invest their money and earn them enormous amounts of profits over a short period of time.
Reports by a local publication revealed that the 28 years old director of a company called Born Rich Group, handed himself over to members of the Hawks’ serious organised crime unit in Pietermaritzburg on Thursday after being served with a summons.
Following reports of his arrest, Mazibuko shot a video of himself and his child while at home denying the reports. He laughed off the rumours that he was arrested by the Hawks.
Prince NRB, as he is known by his customers, said it seems as if his detractors were waiting for his arrest.
“How are you, I hope everyone is good. Apparently, Prince NRB has been arrested. I just wanted to make a five-minute address to the issue that is apparently burning because everybody is sharing and it’s like everybody was waiting for this to happen,” Prince NRB said.
He ended his short video by joking that he could be under house arrest, a joke that drew cheers from his mates in the room he was shooting the video from.
“I don’t know, I’m in the comfort of my home with my family and kids. I’m not in jail. I must say it is really painful that everyone believes everything they read in the media. The media is there to destroy. I’m home I’m not arrested. I’m with my kids and family. Other kids are outside. Maybe I’m under home arrest I don’t know but everyone is home. These are difficult days for me, It can happen to anyone,” the forex trader said.
