Video: Indian man pulls gun on black couple at a roadblock
Since the Phoenix massacre it seems nothing has changed or has been addressed hence the roller coaster goes on. A video of an Indian man racially accusing a black couple is trending on social media. This leaves many questioning the law in South Africa. In the video a black couple is stopped by an Indian man and questions the couple for having an extra number plate of their car.
In the video the couple keeps asking why they are stopped by the man but he does not respond to him. To show that this is racially deduced, the man asks the couple to open the trunk of their car as he expects they looted based on the color of their skin.
The man then goes to tell them that he would not like to see a building burning and that why he stopped them. Everyone else is left to pass the roadblock as long as they are not black. Where does the country go from this after it is now clear that racism exists in South Africa and is bigger than people thought. The Indian man goes to pull a gun on the couple so that they don’t leave the spot they are parked at.

Commenting to the issue, the public is disappointed by this. Many question the law which is not doing about these cases since the Phoenix massacre. Here are some of the comments from the furious public:
“Where are the police to give communities sense of security, why is SAPS not dedicating one officer per neighborhood watch in affected areas to mediate this and ensure law is not broken but people feel safe? Stop vilification of communities forced to take up state functions.”
“This is racism, they have been dying to do this and Cyril have them the go ahead.”
“Eish, and some people are busy putting up billboards that trivialize racism. The latest events have really exposed a lot of our shortcomings as a country…”
“Too bad! Sick that innocent people will be affected. In South Africa we have to conquer 2 Demons; RACISM & TRIBALISM. We are all humans, why is it hard to love one another, coexist and share the world peacefully? Tribal and Racial superiorities will destroy the world”
After the Phoenix massacre many black people are promising to revenge the death of their brothers and sisters. May are scared a civil war might be brewing and such is never news one loves to hear.
