Whilst she is wrapping up her exit scenes of Mzansi’s most-watched soapie Uzalo Baby Cele who plays Gabisile has bagged a leading role on an upcoming drama series on etv. No doubt she is one of the celebrated star actresses in Mzansi. Her acting skills are unmatched that’s why she is one of the most sought after actresses.

In the wake of her exit from Uzalo, the vivacious actress is said to be hitting the ground with her new producers. The upcoming series is set to replace etv’s long-aired soapie Rhythm City which will be ending in July.

Rhythm City will be wrapping up things in July after it was officially out that it was going to be canned. However, rumour has it that the cancellation of Rhythm City is all about bringing a change of taste since it spans for decades on air.

Baby Cele is winning big and there is no doubt about that. Her exit from Uzalo comes barely after a new script for season 7 has been put in place. To many, the exit did not come as a surprise since it was confirmed late last year.

The mass exodus of leading actors from Uzalo continues as Mangcobo is also set to jump off the Uzalo ship. On the other hand, Qhabanga is also set to leave the show and it seems the Uzalo woes are far from being solved.

The name of the new soapie set to replace Rhythm City is still yet to be made public. However, taking it to social media Baby Cele broke the news of her new role to her fans.

“We introduce Mr and Mrs Nkosi; whom you will watch in an upcoming new show; on etv.”

However, on Uzalo Gabisile is expected to exit the show with a bang. The show producers did admit that she will be off the hook for a while. The show producers had this to say about their star actors exits.

“Baby Cele and Siyabonga Shibe will be leaving Uzalo by the end of season six. The story has taken this direction and will give us a riveting, high-stakes ending for both characters” they said

Despite all this, rumour has it that her exit will leave her with a hope of returning back. The rumour might be true as Gabisile did hint that she might be back on Uzalo late this year. She assured her fans that the Gabisile vibe will be gone but not lost.
