Attorney and lawyer Mbuleli Kolisi has been found dead in his office. The death of the prominent lawyer has been confirmed by multiple sources.
Mbuleli Kolisi was the only black qualified lawyer on aviation and was scheduled to testify at Zondo commission in the coming weeks He served during the tenure of Dudu Myeni and was going to testify in her defense.
He was found dead in his office and the cause of the death is yet to be ascertained. He was buried in his home in Centane in the Eastern Cape Province.
Mbuleli Kolisi was also a board member of the uLwazi Project. They posted their condolence message on the 25th of July. They described him as a brilliant lawyer and a community activist.
ULwazi Project posted, “The Good always die young. Farewell to our board member Mbuleli Kolisi. Today we bade final goodbyes to uLwazi Board member Mr Mbuleli Kolisi. He was buried at his home in Centane In the Eastern Cape. Condolences to the Kolisi family. Mr Kolisi was a great asset to uLwazi, a brilliant Lawyer and a community activist.
The Zondo Commission is the judicial commission of inquiry into allegations of state capture.
South Africans have started to question mysterious deaths related to testimonies.
One Tweep named Dumi said, “Remember Gavin Watson died mysteriously, Barry Eugene Farber former Ramaphosa attorney who received R 500 000 from Watson for CR17 campaign died mysteriously, former Bosasa attorney also died mysteriously after giving evidence against Bosasa, connect the dots on the death of Mbuleli Kolisi.”
South Africans believe Kolisi was killed because of his involvement in the Zondo Commission. There is also fear that people will not testify in future if mysterious deaths continue to happen to those who testify.
Other reports indicate Kolisi committed suicide because of his own personal problems.
