The film The Woman King features Thuso Mbedu, Zozi Tunzi and Viola Davis. The story follows Nanisca, the General of the Dahomey Amazons, and partners up with the very ambitious Nawi, the young recruit in the Kingdom.

The Woman King was filmed mainly in South Africa, and this makes it very attractive to African viewers as the story details the history of powerful women who took up arms to protect their nation.
The visuals of the army look spectacular, and most of the actors did their stunts.
Thuso has been sharing her physical work as a stunt for this movie, and she looks fantastic.

The Trailer to the film started to circulate on Monday evening, and everyone who has seen it says it’s already looking epic.
Viola Davis activated the beast mode on this one, accompanied by the newcomer and Emmy award winner Thuso as her right arm, and they set it off.
The part Mbedu us playing was originally played by Lupita Nyong’o, and when she pulled out in 2021, Thuso was announced.
Beyonce will have a song featured in the movie’s soundtrack, which features Moonchild Sanelly and Busiswsa; the song is called My Power.
The movie is expected to be released on the 16th of September, 2022.
