The reasons why AKA and Riky Rick were forced to apologise to Sizwe Dhlomo have been revealed by sources close to Aka. The rapper and fellow hip hop artist Riky Rick called out Sizwe Dhlomo on social media the Aka allegedly insulting Dhlomo’s family and grandfather.
Aka was facing Dhlomo family lawsuit
Reports indicate the Dhlomo family gave the rapper a choice of two options, either to be sued in a million rand lawsuit or to publicly apologise to Sizwe and his Dhlomo family. The riot act was read to AKA after he took to Twitter a few days ago and made whats he called reckless and very stupid allegations in his apology. Aka’s reference to the Dhlomos’ riding of tractors, was in a way endorsing allegations that Sizwe’s grandfather was a snitch during the apartheid. It was difficult for black people to get land during the apartheid era, and the fastest way was to be a government informant or spy.
Sizwe promised to end it all in a tweet
Dhlomo promised to end the brawl and he has surely ended it. He tweeted, “And now watch me end it.” Riky Rick looked scared as he apologised to Sizwe. He ended up calling Sizwe Brother Siz as he hoped a more affectionate name would end the turmoil that he foundd himself in.
Sizwe Dhlomo’s ANC links
Other sources have also indicated that Aka was never going to perform at an ANC event again if he had not apologised to Sizwe. The Dhlomo family have strong ANC ties. Apart from the Dhlomo family godfather Isaac, who was a member of the ANC there are many Dhlomos who have held and some which are still holding powerful position in the ruling party.
