Stephanie found that when she had a drink, it seldom ended at just one glass of wine. When converting all those calories, it often led to a binge weekend. She realized that this was not helping her in any shape or form. However, this was not the main reason for her decision to take a break from alcohol.
Personal Conviction
Stephanie shared that even before she was pregnant, she had a personal conviction about taking a break from alcohol. She had been toying back and forth with the idea of going on a sabbatical. She is still on that sabbatical and is unsure if it will remain a sabbatical or if she will never drink again.
Adjusting to the New Lifestyle
Stephanie is proud to have made it this far and is adjusting to her new lifestyle. She sees it positively affecting her weight loss journey.

In March, social media influencer Mihlali Ndamase celebrated 30 days of sobriety. She shared on her Instagram stories that she was in a good space and at her happiest, most productive, and healthiest without alcohol. She wrote, “I haven’t felt this good in months. This has been by far the best decision I’ve made.”
