So Paid, Patrick Mofokeng ‘Mandla’s salary on Lingashoni leaves Mzansi in envy.
Many fans were disappointed when Patrick Mofokeng left the cast of Scandal through an unfortunate accident at the river involving Nhlamulo. However, the actor was joining the cast of a new drama series on 1Magic, which won many viewers’ hearts with its exciting storyline. Patrick takes on the lead role of Mandla Cele in the series, making many people love and hate his character.
Mandla Cele is a wealthy businessman who was too busy for his family and had archaic beliefs on how to raise his children. When he witnessed a murder, he went home too early to share with his wife Puleng, only to find her in bed with his brother and trusted driver. The argument after that ended in gunshots, and Mandla’s body was thrown over a bridge with two gunshot wounds.
Unfortunately for Puleng and her lover, Mandla was saved, and he survived with a loss of memories. After ten years of living on the farm with another woman and her kids, he finally remembers and returns to his family. Slowly he regains his memories and discovers he was shot by Puleng but still forgives her. Mandla loses all his money, and Seipati, the woman who cared for him when he had nothing. He is left to deal with an overspending wife and a broke estate.
Lingashoni actress Patrick Mofokeng’s salary shocks Mzansi.
Patrick Mofokeng was one of the actors that had been on Scandal for years before his departure last year. The actor played the role of Mlungisi Ngema. His role was that of Lindiwe and Omphile Ngema. He joined the drama series in 2008 and left in 2021 when his role was killed off. Many viewers of the show were wondering why he left the prestigious eTV show. Given his role in Scandal was not lead and the one on Lingashoni is a lead, it made professional sense.
However, we can not rule out the remuneration he was offered for his current role. The actor is rumoured to get over R60 000 for playing the role of Mandla Cele. It may not be the most he has been paid for a television role, given he holds roles in drama series like Blood and Water that have grossed a lot of money over the years. The actor is making promising career and financial moves, and his fans are here for all of it.
