So Paid, Gomora actress ‘Mazet’ Siphesihle Ndaba’s salary was revealed and got a nod from Mzansi.
Actress Siphesihle Ndaba plays the role of Zanele ‘Mazet’ on Gomora, a Mzansi Magic telenovela. The Mazet role is an expert car hijacker who works for MaSonto – the role played by Connie Chiume. Mazet, a Gomora High School former student, lured Ntokozo Dlamini (Ntobeko Sishi), the son of the Gomora High Principal, into criminal life. Their first outing to hijack cars ended up in ab unfortunate death of a banker and MaSonto’s son in law, Mbongeni Ndaba.
Over the Gomora storyline, Mazet tossed her lover boy around; she confused his feeling because he was also in love with Buhle (Ama Qamata).
As MaSonto’s right hand, Mazet developed a thick skin and only understood the language of violence. She held car hijacking operations functional in Sonto’s absence and was shot by Don Buthelezi (Israel Matseke –Zulu) while trying to protect Ntokozo. She sustained abdomen injuries, and doctors claimed she would never walk again. The arrival of mysterious Phumlani Ndaba in Gomora sends shock waves across the Sonto household. He is the brother of murdered Mbongeni Ndaba, whose motive was hidden; he befriends Mazet and loves Thathi, two people he is naturally expected to hate. Phumlani breathed hope in Mazet’s condition and offered to give her free gym sessions.
Siphesihle Ndaba, an academic genius
Having benefited from the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls scholarships, Mazet is one of the highly educated actresses in the Gomora cast. She holds dual Degrees BSS in Psychology, Economics and Dramatic Arts and Honours Degree in Dramatic Arts from Rhodes University. Though she was involved in some college Theatre productions as a director and actor, Gomora is her first television gig.

Siphesihle landed the Gomora role in London in the United Kingdom on a travel bursary and asked strangers to help her record a video for auditions. After landing the Mazet role, she moved from strength to strength throughout the Gomora storyline to become one of the most prominent cast members. As Seriti Films, the Gomora producers, won a contract extension to produce currently airing Season 3, Mazet’s salary increased from R34 000 to R57 000 per month, a testimony to her hard work.
