Masasa Mbangeni, better known as Thembeka on Scandal, opened up about being bullied and recently shared her experience of having an ex-boyfriend describe her as unusual-looking. Although it might seem that actresses have it all easy, they consistently demonstrate that they are just as vulnerable to relationship bullying as their fans.
Masasa recently wrote on her Twitter account about an odd experience with a former boyfriend, with whom she had believed she had an extraordinary bond, but it turned out to be untrue. She claimed that although the incident occurred a while ago, the pain from those words continues to affect her daily. Taking to social media shared a thread describing how her ex-boyfriend told her she had an unusual appearance and that she shouldn’t have children because she would pass it on to them.
Masasa, however, has always been a queen. She continued by saying how it still affects her today and that she finds it hard to believe that people can be so cruel and blurt out anything without considering how long it might take someone to recover from that. She further clarified that when the bullies attempted to distract her from her suffering, she wasn’t looking for any praise and was merely sharing a personal experience. However, many of her followers felt sorry for her and expressed their admiration for her beauty by leaving many kind messages after the thread.

From 2013 to 2016, Masasa Mbangeni played Thembeka Shezi before leaving the show. Fans will never forget Masasa Mbangeni of soap operas as the evil Thembeka Shezi, whose cruel methods nearly drove Quinton insane.
Fans had just about given up hope that Quinton would ever bring Thembeka back when, in 2020, she reappeared pretending to be terminally ill and dying. But most of the show’s viewers claimed that her portrayal of Miss Goody Two-Shoes was a lie. Later, it was discovered that she was lying. Six months after her return, the writers killed off her character, and the actress stated on her social media accounts that the character was dead and would not be returning, not even as a ghost. Her rival, Mthunzi Mayisa, killed Thembeka Shezi.
The South African actress was recognized in 2014 and 2015 for her work in Scandal and took home the prize that year. She was overcome with joy this year when, even after the character’s demise, she received a SAFTA nomination for best-supporting actress. Masasa Mbangeni made her television debut when she was cast as Eunice and Egoli, Jackie’s assistant, in a guest role on Silent Witness. In 2011, Masasa was showcased in the movie Machine Gun Preacher. She became Thembeka on Scandal in 2013. She was cast as Celia in the films Thola and Harvest.
