Sbu Mpisane is a former policeman and a businessman who owns the Royal Eagles football club. He is also the father of Andile Mpisane, a musician and footballer who is the chairman of Royal AM, another football club. Sbu Mpisane has recently expressed his pride and happiness for his son, who is expecting his fourth child.
Andile Mpisane and his wife Tamia Mpisane announced last week that they are expecting their second baby together. They already have a one-year-old daughter. Andile Mpisane also has two daughters with Sithelo Shozi, a DJ and a detective on Masked Singer SA.
Sbu Mpisane told Zimoja that he was glad that his son was expanding the family name and continuing the Mpisane legacy. He said that he was excited that he had given birth to a man who could rise above all odds. He also said that he was a crying-free man because his ex-wife, Shauwn “MaMkhize” Mkhize, took his kids away from him.
The father’s divorce
Sbu Mpisane and MaMkhize separated in 2018 after 25 years of marriage. They have been involved in a messy divorce process, which has not been finalised yet. One of the issues they have been fighting over is the ownership of the Royal Eagles football club, which they co-owned before their split.
MaMkhize resigned as part-owner of the club in 2019, and started her own club, Royal AM, which she handed over to her son Andile Mpisane. Sbu Mpisane was not happy with this move, and accused her of stealing his club and his son.
The son’s anger
Andile Mpisane has also expressed his anger and resentment towards his father in the past. In 2019, he posted an explosive message on Instagram, in which he called his father a liar and a cheater who had fathered four children while married to his mother. He also said that his father had not spoken to him for two years, and had lied and stolen what was built for him.
He said that he felt pain for his mother, who had endured 25 years of marriage with a sucker of her blood. He said that his mother still maintained his father’s life as he lived in her property without paying any bills. He said that he bid farewell to the legacy his mother had set up for him when he let go of Royal Eagles Football Club.
