Hector Sebata ‘Rapulana Seiphemo’ salary at The Queen leaked
No doubt he is dupped as the father of small screens in Mzansi. His illustrious career has made him not only a reckoning force in Mzansi but the world at large.
Rapulana Seiphemo is a celebrated multi-award-winning actor best known for his on-screen character Tau Moroka on Generations. However, currently, he is nailing his Hector Sebata character on Mzansi Magic soapie drama The Queen.
The seasoned actor was born on 19 June 1973, Meadowlands Soweto, Gauteng, South African. Apart from acting, he doubles as a producer and writer.
To furnish his craze of acting, he was enrolled at Texas A and M University in College Station in Brazos County, Texas, USA and pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in 1991. In 1995 he graduated with a bachelor of arts specialising in Acting, English, Psychology, Sociology and Theater production. He bagged his first gig when he starred in My Children, My Africa in 1989, and Athol Fugard wrote the play.

In 1996 he made his name known when he starred in the Piano Lesson and The Blacks. His big breakthrough came when he starred on SABC3’s drama series Isidingo for three years. After his exit, he wowed Mzansi with his unmatched talent when he bagged a gig on Rhythm and Rights. From there, he featured in several series and films, the likes of Deafening Silence and Highjack Stories (2000).
A few years later, he stars in Akin Omotoso’s God is African and award-winning movie Tsotsi. In 2006 he made all sorts of headlines when he was cast on SABC2’s long-aired drama series Muvhango. On Muvhango, he starred as a long-lost son of Tshepo Mokoena. In 2007 he landed a lead role in Jerusalema. However, he then joined Generations: The Legacy as Tau Mogale.
However, he left Generations for The Queen after what seemed to be fallout with the showrunners. Before his exit, he saw himself trending for the wrong reasons before his exit after he allegedly cheated on his wife Zoe with a co-worker who happened to be their co-cast member on Generations set.
Given that he was one of the lead actors, Rapulana was being paid a whopping pay cheque of R110 000 per month on Generations for his Tau role. However, he switched the floor to The Queen in the mix of things, nailing his Hector character. For his Hector on-screen character, Rapulana is paid between R120 00 and 135 000 per month.
