No doubt her talent is unmatched. Of late, she wowed Mzansi with her unmatched talent that has thrust her into one of Mzansi’s finest. Despite being 22-years-old, she has made a name for herself in the entertainment industry.

Like those before her, Pretty was thrust into the limelight came when she joined the cast of Skeem Saam at the age of 11-years.

Lerato Marabe is a South African actress who currently plays the role of Pretty Seakamela in SABC 1 soapie Skeem Saam. She was born on the 19th of June 1999 in Vosloorus, Gauteng.

Thrusting into the limelight as a child is not easy. Many child celebrities had seen their talent fizzle out before they reached their peak. But that’s not the case with Lerato Marabe. She has managed to wow Mzansi for seasons, and she is not holding back.

Growing up, she was raised by her mother, who used to double as a professional teacher. However, the bubbly actress attended her matric at Boksburg High school in Johannesburg. She is currently enrolled at the University of Johannesburg, where she is studying Editing at AFDA.

Local drama series Skeem Saam has captivated the hearts of many South Africans, with many viewers wondering about the actors’ real lives and how much they are earning for their roles in this popular soapie.

After the show was introduced in 2011, Skeem Saam has continued to grow to make it one of the most-watched shows in the country. Actors are paid basing on how prominent their role is and experience.

In recent years Lerato Marabe as Pretty Seakamela was earning around R15 000 to R25 000 per month. However, her salary was based on the basis that she was regarded as a supporting actress. Well, of late, she has fast become one of the lead actors of Skeem Saam; hence a pay increase was put in place. As of 2021, the bubbly actress who is killing it as Pretty is being paid a whopping R40000 per month.

This might be considered a big payout because Skeem Saam is a low budget drama series compared to big-budget drama series.
