Rumour has it that the gruesome murder happened when the nephew sought shelter from the heavy rains at his uncle’s home on Friday. The deceased was a grade Grade 2 student at Matova Primary School.
The suspect is said to have killed the 8-year-old boy before chopping his head off. A thorough search yesterday by the villagers and police led to the recovery of the boy’s body.
The early morning search led to the recovery of his head after a relative forced his way into the suspect’s kitchen where he was hiding in. The suspected was busted whilst still cooking the head. Police had to come to the rescue as the community was barring for his blood.
The incident comes barely a few months after Tapiwa Makore was brutally murder and saw some of his body parts missing. Tafadzwa Shamba murdered seven-year-old Tapiwa Makore in September.
The human flesh from the late boy’s thigh was sold at Katsande’s homestead. Tapiwa was allegedly murdered on 24 September for ritual purposes. Shamba and the now deceased’s uncle Tapiwa Makore senior were behind the murder.
