Looking for something to enjoy this month? One night kwaMxolisi, starring Linda Mtoba and some of your favourites is premiering soon on Showmax.
The Showmax original is created by Sisanda Henna who also features in the movie. One Night KwaMxolisi will premier on Showmax on Thursday the 25th of February 2021,The movie will showcase some of Mzansi’s favourite on screen talents. Linda Mtoba will be starring alongside Motlatsi Mafatshe. Other stars to feature include Nyaniso Dzedze, Buhle Samuels and Fulu Mugovhani.
One night KwaMxolisi is a comedic drama which is located in Johannesburg. The story centers around a semi- successful rugby player who decides to be a restauranteer. His friends take to celebrations and after one too many, secrets are exposed that threaten friendships.
The Cast
This is one of Linda’s many on screen accomplishments. She is well known for her role as Zama, Ntombizama Ngwenya on Isibaya as well as Nomonde on 1 Magic’s The River.
Motlatsi Mafatshe is one of South Africa’s favourites who played Sechaba on the SABC 3 soapie, Isidingo. He spent 9 years with the soapie where he also joined the directing team in 2018. The actor also featured in State of Violence, Sokhulu and Partners II and Zama Zama. The actor also played Wandile Dhlomo in the soccer drama Shooting Stars. Motlasi also appeared on When we were Black as Casper. Not only did he feature in but he also co-produced the romcom Love Lives Here which starred Thando Thabethe. The actor is also a musician with over 400 singles.
Nyaniso Dzedze is also no new face to the screen. Nyaniso is an actor, dancer and choreographer whose must recent success was featuring in Beyoncé’s Black is King album as Simba. His debut role was that of Tsietsi in Ashes to Ashes. He also played lead on South Africa’s first dance movie, Hear me move. Nyaniso has also had appearances in some of Mzansi’s favourites Rhythm City, Generations and Binnelanders.
Buhle Samuels is one of Mzansi’s up and coming bright stars. The actress’ role on Muvhango put her on the map which has led to several more roles including her stint on the hit Fergusons series, Kings of Joburg.
Like her co-stars, Fulu Mugovhani is no new face to the screen. She has made hef mark in the industry with the various roles she has played. She has featured in Muvhango, Scandal and Ring of Lies among others.
