Linda Mtoba is a South African actress who plays the role of Nomonde on The River. Linda Mtobe is best known for her role as Zama on Isibaya, a love story turned ugly when her character was killed on her wedding day.
The actress has proven to be quite the momager, mom plus manager. Linda Mtoba (29) has made an Influencer out of her baby, baby Bean. Baby Bean has proven to be quite the influencer and baby model. She recently celebrated her 1st birthday and is a Huggies brand ambassador.
Linda Mtoba: Public but private
Although Linda Mtoba is a public figure, she has proven to be a very private person, hiding her daughter’s real name from the world.
Not only does Linda keep her daughter’s name private but the actress keeps her husband away from the public eye too. Linda married Steven Meyer in 2017. However Steven strives to stay out of the public eye. When people lashed out at Linda for hiding her husband she responded by saying, ” “I can’t even articulate how dumbfounded I am every time people get upset about what I choose to show about my private life. There’s so much of me that I give & share. The one that’s closest to my heart, being husband I want kept as my own & you feel I don’t deserve.”
The Linda Mtoba Foundation
While her onscreen character is the selfless Nomonde who stays power hungry, Linda is determined to make a change with her foundation, the Linda Mtoba Foundation. The foundation is aimed at “investing in change through the curation of socio-economic platforms targeted at children, from belly to graduates”.
Believe it or not, Linda was a teacher before she became an actress! Clearly her love for children came along way before baby Bean. The actress was never into acting. Linda’s acting career started as fun when her friends pushed her to audition. And that was how she got the Isibaya character of Zama!
We are grateful her friends bullied her to that audition.
