In Pictures: Where did Langa ‘Siya Xaba’ from Gomora disappear to?
Siya Xaba is popular for playing the role of Langa on Gomora. In the Mzansi Magic drama series Gomora, the Langa character was Melusi and Thathi’s son, who believed that Mbongeni was his father.
Langa on Gomora
Langa Ndaba grew up in the fancy suburbs of Sandton; his father, Mbongeni Ndaba, owned a bank and used public funds to fund his family’s lavish lifestyle. The Ndaba family experienced the worst when their father died in a botched car hijacking; they lost everything he owned during his funeral, including the Sandton mansion and furniture.
Being the submissive sibling, Langa and his sister Buhle accompanied their mother Thathi as they returned to their maternal grandmother’s place Mamsonto (Connie Chiume), in the crowded ghetto streets of Gomora. Life in the ghetto has never been kind to Langa, who took forever to adjust to the new reality; after enrolling at Gomora High school, he friended Teddy and Ntokozo.

Blood is thicker than water; as the old saying goes, Langa found favour in the eyes of Principal Dlamini (his biological father). His fate was sealed by the raged Melusi Dlamini’s wife Glady’s whose intentional actions resulted in Langa’s death.
Life after Gomora exit
Ever since his exit from Gomora cast through death, Siya Xaba vanished from public and television life; he kept his moves under the wrap and questions were asked about his next move. Despite fans missing him on Gomora, Siya seems to be done with life in front of the camera and switched to the other end of the lens. Qualified with a Degree in Drama and Production Arts, Siya is pursuing a career in film production and has produced and directed a handful of acts. In collaboration with former colleagues on Gomora, Siphesihle Ndaba (Mazet) and Ama Qamata (Buhle), he managed to direct and produce a short film titled Carrots which streamed on Showmax. Fans can expect a lot of upcoming projects from Siya, namely Professionals and The Forbidden Love.
