Actress Ntombifuthi Dlamini who plays the role of Gladys Madlala on Uzalo, sets the streets of KwaMashu alight with her dressing. Famous for gossiping in the community of KwaMashu and her appetite for young boys, MaMadlala grabs every chance to court attention.
On Uzalo, MaMadlala befriends MaDongwe (Zama Magubane), and the duo forms a formidable partnership as the gossipmongers in KwaMashu.
MaMadlala and MaDongwe are proving to be more than just community women who jump from church to church and, with the help of Pastor Gwala, opened a new business venture. The two friends pitched their business to Nosipho, the funder, and formed Shlobo tours, a travel and tourism company promoting local tourism.

Without any qualification, Ntombifuthi was a cleaner at a local hospital whose dream was to find a job and earn enough to support her family. She earned the Gladys Madlala role after producing strings of outstanding performances and has never looked back ever since.
