Nyalleng Thibedi
Qualification: Honors Degree in Chemical Engineering
Actress Princess Nyalleng Thibedi played the role of Zekhethelo Mhlongo on Uzalo. The Zekhethelo character was raised by Nkunzi, joined the police force and was involved with Njeza and Mondli. When she hits rock bottom, Zekhethelo turns to prostitution, a life she regrets as the community reminds her of her past lifestyle.

Zekhethelo nearly married Pastor Gwala before the marriage collapsed; she left KwaMashu to start a new life.
Nyalleng Thibedi left Uzalo to resuscitate her cosmetic business and focus on her chemical engineering career.
Cebo Mthembu
Qualification: Diploma in Electrical and Power Engineering
Cebo Mthembu plays the role of Detective Nyawo on SABC 1 soapie Uzalo; he is a man of multiple talents. Nyawo joined Uzalo as an extra in a police station; despite having no acting or filming qualification, he pushed his way into the main cast as a crooked police officer. Famous for throwing English jargon, he earned Mr Oxford’s nickname and recently won the KwaMashu Talent Show.
After trending on social media, Nyawo got invited to the National Spelling Bee competition, an experience freaking out his confidence.
In real life, Nyawo is a full-time Regional Supervisor at Eskom; he shoots his Uzalo scenes during the weekends and off days. During the lockdown, when schools were closed, Cebo Mthembu offered free Mathematics online lessons.

Africa Tsoai
Qualification: Degree in Sound Engineering
Tsoai plays the role of John Maputla on Skeem Saam, where he is a university lecturer cum businessman. A gentle giant, intelligent and confident. His life revolves around his family and work. He is Meikie’s husband, and together they have two sons, Leeto and Thabo. He holds a Degree in Sound Engineering which he earned while working as petrol attended.
