In Pictures: Master KG celebrates birthday, his real age shocks Mzansi
South African musician Kgaogelo Moagi, famously known as Master KG in the entertainment circles, celebrates his birthday. Born in Tzaneen in Limpopo, the award-winning producer celebrated his birthday with his girlfriend Makhadzi and close family members.
Master KG developed a love for music early; he started making beats at thirteen years old with a computer his uncle had bought. His musical career began when he linked up with DJ Maebela; together, they experimented with music software.
The WanitwaMos Entertainment boss Master KG rose to fame in 2017 after his current record label signed him, Open Mic Records and released his chart-topping single “Skeleton Move” featuring Zanda Zakuza.
In 2019 Master KG released the song “Jerusalema”, featuring Nomcebo Zikode; the song became a global hit in mid-2020 after a Jerusalema dance challenge went viral on social media. Jerusalema topped global music charts earning a remix with Nigerian superstar Burna Boy. The Israeli government approved the Jerusalema dance challenge, whose officials danced to the song.
Riding on the Jerusalema wave, Master KG collaborated with international artists Akon and David Guetta to release a song titled Shine your light in May 2021.
His reconciliation with girlfriend pop star Makhadzi took the Mzansi celebvile by storm, having split in August 2020; the Limpopo couple got back together in December 2021. Master KG introduced Makhadzi on stage as his wife during a packed show, confirming their rekindled romance.

While celebrating his birthday on 31 January 2022, Master KG revealed in a social media post that he had just turned 26 years of age, a revelation that got his fans and Mzansi stunned. Master KG’S achievements got his fans to place him at around thirty-two years of age, he is just one year older than his girlfriend Makhadzi.
