We can all agree that the South African industry has been booming. Of late, our small screen has been blessed with seasoned actors who have wowed us with their unmatched talent. However, they have managed to win big during their illustrious careers in the mix of things.
In the backdrop of their newfound fame, some seasoned actors have been rumoured to be related, and as Mzansi, we have managed to connect the dots. From Mpho Molepo, best known as Fats on Rythm City, to Mpho J Malepo, best known for his on-screen character on Generations: The Legacy Uncle Kabisi.
Of interest is the rumour being peddled about the relation between Imbewu: The Seed actor Nkululeko character played by Nkayiso Mchunu and Sannah Mchunu best known for her on-screen character as Zodwa on Mzansi Magic’s drama series Gomora.
Is Nkululeko from Imbewu: The Seed related to Zodwa from Gomora in real life?
Nkanyiso Mchunu
He has been winning big, from playing a cameo role on Ingozi to a lead role in Soul City. However, he made all sorts of headlines when he nailed the recurring role of Sizwe on SABC’s drama series Muvhango. Like those before him, his thrust in small screens came in the backdrop of theatre plays.
Also apart from acting, Nkanyiso doubles as a voice-over artist and is behind one of the best ABSA commercial adverts. The 32-years old actor was on the 14 July 1989. In recent years he has fast become the face of Imbewu. In 2019 he was cast in etvs drama series Imbewu: The Seed.
Sannah Mchunu
She has capped her career with accolades with an illustrious career spanning years. On Gomora, the 48-year old actress is cast as a loud-mothed, trouble-making mother of Teddy. She has the plug and the bling too.
The bubbly actress has managed to wow us with her unmatched acting flair. Quirky one-liners, street lingo and broken English has become her on-screen signature. She is that actress we all love to hate. She also happens to be an alcoholic.
Is there any relation between Zodwa and Nkululeko
However, nothing has been said relating to the two regarding their relationship. It seems as if they are not related but somehow share the same surname. Despite all being said they haven’t openly admitted that they are relatives in public but have showered each other with praises because of their good acting and fellow actors.
