In Pictures: Inside the expensive lifestyle of actress Thuso Mbedu, Net Worth revealed 

South African actress Thuso Mbedu is famous for playing the lead role of  Winnie Bhengu on the Mzansi Magic television series Is’Thunzi. Thuso Mbedu played an international role as Cora Randallon The Underground Railroad, an American fantasy historical drama that premiered on Amazon Prime Video.

Thuso was born on 8 July 1991 in KwaZulu Natal and grew up in the Pelham area. Her grandmother raised Mbedu after the passing of both of her parents at an early stage. She attended school in Pietermaritzburg before moving to Johannesburg to pursue her acting dream. In 2013, she graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits) with an Honors Degree in Physical Theatre and Performing Arts Management.

Over her acting career, Thuso landed acting gigs on Scandal, where she played the supporting role of Kitso Medupe; before Scandal, she featured as a guest feature on Isibaya, where she played Nosisa.

The Is’Thunzi role got her an International Emmy Award nomination in 2017 in the category of Best Actress Performance; she was the only African nominated in that Emmy Awards edition.

Rapid Blue Productions, the producers of Is’Thunzi, revealed that Thuso Mdedu suffered a panic attack and collapsed on the show while shooting a rape scene.

The young actress is collecting all the flowers and setting all the records; she made her first international debut in 2021 when she played the role of Cora Randall on American based series The Underground Railroad.  She bagged a Hollywood Critics Association Award for Television Breakout Star.

Mbedu sets to feature prominent American actress Viola Davis (famous for playing the lead role of Lawyer Annalise Keating on the Crime series How to get away with murder) on a true-life inspired film, The Woman King.

Thuso Mbedu Net Worth

Fame and international recognition come with fortunes; Thuso Mbedu managed to harness wealth on her global endeavours, sis is loaded with cash. She drives a R 2.4 million Cadillac LYRIQ Debut Edition, and all the expensive holidays are a testimony to newfound fame. She has business interests in Filmmaking and investing in Real Estate; her net worth is valued at R 21 million.
