From Somizi Mholongo’s splitsville with Mohale Motaung to Sophie Ndaba’s third divorce. Well here are some of the celebrity divorces that headlined 2021.
Somizi And Mohale
No doubt they have been making all sorts of headlines of late after their splitsville. Mzansi wants a boxing match between Somizi Mhlongo and Mohale Motaung to settle their differences. Barely a year after their colourful wedding, their marriage turned south, and cheating allegations were poised as the reason behind the fallout.
Rumour has it that the cheating allegations came in the backdrop of Somizi spending more time with Vusi Nova than Mohale. On the other hand, Somizi lashed out at Mohale’s cellphone addition.
Despite divorce being on the cards for several months, Mohale gave the final nail to their marriage when he revealed that Somizi once threatened him with a kitchen knife and wanted to divorce him officially.
However, the bold claims saw Somizi being cancelled from Idols SA and other several gigs. The two have served each other divorce papers. The two have since gone separate ways, but Mohale is said to have won a big chunk of Somizi’s empire. Their divorce has been termed as the Mohale heist. Sophie Ndaba and Max Lichaba
Celebrated actress Sophie Ndaba made all sorts of headlines for the wrong reasons when she dropped a bombshell about her private life. The actress announced that she was heading for divorce with her estranged husband, Max Lichaba.
To Mzansi’s surprise, she immediately dumped ditched her married surname for her maiden before officially announcing her divorce. Their marriage turned south after the actress caught Max Lichaba cheating. Lichaba was caught pants down whilst in Northern Cape.
