“I’m in a league where you don’t even rank” Kwesta took it straight to the streets with Quantham (Part one), a counterattack diss track to Big Zulu’s 150 Bars. The plot is thickening!
The Ngudu hitmaker fetched Big Zulu and hard. Kwesta left nothing out on this track.
“This is not even a diss track. I’m ng’thethisa nje I groupie”
He called his diss song Quantham, a direct hit to Big Zulu’s past as a taxi driver and now a Taxi owner.
The situation in Hip Hop has gained so much momentum it has run over from Social media and YouTube to the radio.
Tbo Touch called Big Zulu, whose real name is Siyabonga Nene, to come and chat with him on his radio show The Touchdown on MetroFM.
The interview took place on Wednesday afternoon, and Tbo touch asked Inkabi to explain where the diss track came from.
Inkabi firstly stated by letting everyone whose name he called on the track that he respects them and that he did the track to remind them what Hip Hop should be like.
Touch then invited Kwesta to join the conversation on the phone. Kwesta said that he wasn’t going to respond to the diss track, but then Inkabi did a follow-up Instagram live where he mentioned that everything he said on the way was true.
There is an incident where Kwesta was driven to Sandton by Big Zulu in a Quantum, and inkabi mentions that on 150 Bars, he hired Kwesta and Cassper to drive his taxis in Quantham Kwesta says he is the one who hired Inkabi to drive him to Sandton.
Kwesta and Big Zulu laughed about this situation on the Touch Down and said they would talk off the air.
Tbo Touch also invited KO, who has also responded with his track called Omega freestyle after he took a hit on 150 Bars, to have a chat with Big Zulu.
KO dropped Omega Freestyle on YouTube on Monday, and the song has been viewed 458 thousand times since its debut, and Kwesta stands at 4.2K.
Celebrities have taken to their social media to express their feelings about the whole uprising in the hip-hop industry.
AKA mentioned that releasing a diss song and apologizing at the end is not hip hop when he addressed Big Zulu’s 150 Bars.
Skwatta Kamp member Slikour is also enjoying the whole situation promoting the diss tracks and mentioning how lit the Hip Hop industry has become since Inkabi released 150 Bars.
KO’s art cover to his counterattack on Big Zulu is a picture of Omega shoes. The shoes are used as stereotypes because many Zulu taxi drivers love to wear these shoes, and Big Zulu happens to wear these shoes as well.
DuncanSkuva is set to release his diss track on Friday, while Manny Yack released his response with a track of his own called Sis Rambo on Wednesday night.
At the time of publishing, Big Zulu was standing on over 1 million views on YouTube for 150 Bars.
