Katlego Maboe has good news to share with his fans as he just won the court case against his wife. He was absolved of the misconduct allegations pressed against him by the mother of his child and former partner Monique Muller in October 2020. Katlego has faced two years of stress, heartache and financial loss. It took two full years for the courts to make today’s judgements.
Courts couldn’t pin a penalisation for the domestic violence accusation by his former partner. The court also decided that; a protection order could not be issued to Katlego Maboe, as there weren’t any solid grounds to do so.
Katlego Maboe’s losses in these two years
Katlego’s reputation took a massive knock after the allegations. He went from being perceived as a bubbly television presenter to a predator. Due to his tainted image, brands he worked with prior wanted zero association with his name. OUTsurance terminated his contract with him, and he got suspended from; Expresso Morning Show, a breakfast show on SABC 3 he has worked for since it began. Since he could no longer work, he could no longer generate an income. Not making money resulted in him taking a massive financial loss, especially considering he paid for so many legal fees.
Katlego is grateful
Katlego expressed his gratitude for three things. He will now be allowed by the law to spend as much time as possible with his son. He is grateful to his loved ones for supporting him throughout the ordeal, friends and family included. Now that his name is cleared, he can get back to fixing his life.
He mentioned that he wonders why it took so long but chose to not dwell in the past. Justice prevailed for him.
Katlego is not entirely done with court.
Seth Muller, Monique Muller’s brother, made defaming statements against Katlego whilst ranting to support his sister. Katlego sent his former partner’s brother a final harassment interdict for the statements.
Katlego is also looking you sue Sabrina Walter for defamation. Sabrina is the Woman for Change founder, and she; posted lies about Katlego during his trials. The lies she posted made Katlego lose his South African Television and Film Award nomination.
Dr Janet van Eeden, a South African Television and Film Award judge, will also feel Katlego’s legal wrath.
