For Fundiswa Zwane acting is something that she has always wanted to do since she was a kid. The actress was set on turning her passion into a career from the time she was a teenager. When Fundiswa Zwane was in High School, she already hoped to enrol in an acting school. Whilst she was in her third year at the school, she got her debut role in the acting industry in a film. However, Fundiswa’s breakthrough in the entertainment industry happened when she landed a role in SABC 1′ s Generations. She held the role from 2009 to 2012.
While working on Generations-The Legacy, opportunities started to rise for the actress. She landed two roles in 2011. One was in SABC 1 drama series Divers Down and the other in the Mzansi Magic sitcom It’s for life. All these roles prepared her for more prominent roles in future.

Traffic cast her as a guest on its second season. In 2018 she got to play KaMadonsela on Imbewu-The Seed. Fundiswa won viewers’ hearts as she slayed the role of Phakhade’s wife. In 2020 she made headlines after being fired from the etv drama series. It was rumoured that the actress asked for a raise, and the show producers fired her. Brenda Mhlongo replaced her, but viewers complained that Brenda failed to fill Fundiswa’s Shoes. They even went to the extent of threatening to boycott the show.
Fundiswa Zwane is very good at playing characters of older women that viewers would think that she is in her late forties. However, Mzansi was shocked when they realized that the actress was born in 1985, making her 36 years old. The actress is not old enough to be her former on-screen daughter’s mother.
