Where is Denis Onyango originally from?
Denis Onyango was born and raised in Kampala, Uganda. Little is known about Onyanga’s childhood, but he claims he has always been in love with soccer. Football does not pay much in Uganda, therefore Onyango had to relocate to Ethiopia after landing a contract with Villa SC. He later moved to South Africa where he has remained ever since.

Denis Onyango ‘s professional career kicked off in 2000 when he was signed to Sharing Nsambya. In 2002 he moved to Ethiopia after being signed to Villa SC and stayed with the club till 2005 when he joined St George SA. The same year, he joined the Ugandan National team and featured in several international matches including the 2005 FIFA World Cup qualifiers and AFCON matches in 2017. Following the expiration of his contract with St George SA, Laffor was signed by Supersport United and moved to South Africa in 2006. He stayed with Supersport United till he joined Mpumalanga Black Aces in 2010. In 2011, he joined Mamelodi Sundowns and stayed till moving to Bidvest Wits in 2013. Ultimately, Denis Onyango returned to the PSL giants Mamelodi Sundowns in 2015. Onyango has since remained with Mamelodi Sundowns.
