Chipinge Grade 7 Student Stabs Classmate To Death Over A Pencil
In a shocking incident, a grade 7 student from Mwacheta Primary School in Chipinge fatally stabbed his classmate to death over a pencil.
Savannanews has learnt that a grade 7 student from Ward 16 in Chipinge fatally stabbed his classmate several times in a cold blood murder case over a pencil scuffle.
The 12-year-old student (name withheld) pounced on his fellow 17-year-old Grade 7 classmate and stabbed him countless times.
Confirming the unfortunate incident, Chipinge District Schools Inspector Mr Richard Gabaza said details that led to the incident are still sketchy.
He, however, confirmed that police have picked up suspects for questioning.
Mwacheta Primary School Headmaster James Chigugudhlo also confirmed the unfortunate incident. Chigugudhlo confirmed that the grisly incident which happened on Tuesday afternoon when the pupils were coming back from school. The scuffle which led to the untimely death of the student is now under investigation.

Chipinge Ward 16 councillor Raphious Maphahla who spoke to a local publication Masvingo Mirror revealed that the fight also involved a third party.
“As the two fought, the one who was being overpowered called on his brother’s assistance. His brother was coming from a nearby secondary school. The brother to the accused urged his sibling to stab his classmate,”
The stabbed student was pronounced dead upon admission at the Chipinge District Hospital. The grade seven who was currently sitting for his exams died due to excessive bleeding.
Medical Doctors at the referral hospital indicated that the boy had been stabbed fatally.
The suspects were nabbed by the Law Enforcing Agents after they had fled the scene after the gruesome murder.
Meanwhile, councillor Maphahla urged the community to keep children away from dangerous weapons.
