Some of Mzansi’s most influential have decided to give back to the community, invest in education by setting up bursaries for students across Mzansi. On that list is Nomzamo Mbatha, Black Coffee, Lungelo Mpangase and Linda Mtoba. Here’s what you need to know about celebrities with bursaries and how you can get them.

Black Coffee
Black Coffee launched a bursary for they will be giving away bursaries worth R3.5-million. The bursary will give an opportunity to the underprivileged to study at HyperionDev Institution for a qualification in technology. The bursary will pay for their fees fully. Entry requirements entail a 60-second video and a 200-word essay stating why they are the best candidate to receive the funding.
Nomzamo Mbatha
The Coming 2 America actress has been working hard with the Nomzamo Lighthouse to provide funding for underprivileged tertiary South Africans. Not only that, but the Nomzamo Lighthouse is supporting primary schools across Mzansi with packages that include school jersies, school shoes and toiletries. Linda Mtoba
The The River actress has done her bit in giving back to the grassroots. Last year Linda Mtoba set up a the Linda Mtoba Foundation before going on to create a bursary for grades 1 to 7. While applications are closed now, be on the lookout later in the year for submissions for next year.
Lungelo Mpangase
Lungelo Mpangase is fairly new to the industry but is already doing the most on and off screen. The Umzali actresshosted a competition for a bursary worth R8500 on her social media platform. The competition was not only aimed at assisting students with tuition but to also encourage aspiring actors. The 2nd prize gets an on set visit and experience while the 3rd gets a professional photoshoot. Be on the lookout for her next competition!
