Nomzamo Mbatha, a South African actress, broke many hearts with her departure from Isibaya earlier this year but it turns out the Queen is about to own our screens! Nomzamo relocated to Hollywood to further her career and her humanitarian projects. Although the actress had been off Isibaya screens for the better part of the year, her character as Thandeka Zungu was officially written off in February as she made her Hollywood relocation plans official, the end of a beautiful love story. While Soapie lovers were heartbroken, the move has seen Nomzamo make some major moves in the film industry and off screen. Nomzamo Starring in and Producing Hotel Hillbrow
It’s official- the Gauteng Film Commission has funded the Hotel Hillbrow Movie which will be produced by Nomzamo Mbatha. Not only will she be producing the movie but the actress will also play the lead role in the movie!
Coming 2 America
It turns out Nomzamo’s move to Hollywood might just have been the best thing since sliced bread. Nomzamo will be starring in Coming 2 America which will premier in March 2021. The movie is reported to have been sold by Paramount for US$125m. If these aren’t money moves we don’t know what is!
The Nomzamo Lighthouse Foundation
The actress has done a lot of humanitarian work in the past and has founded her NGO, Nomzamo Lighthouse which is aimed at assisting the less privileged. The organization has contributed to Covid relief and helping mothers and their newborns with supplies amongst other projects. The organization recently received a donation of a 7 seater car from Hollywood BETs.
