Sibusisiwe Jili will be starring in the Mzansi Magic movie STINA. The actress has been playing detective Georgina in the Telenovela The Queen. Her character is a non-nonsense policewoman who does her job with diligence. She is a dedicated policewoman who ensures that society is prevented from anti-social behaviour and the community is safe from hilarious thugs.
On set, she is the daughter of a gossip monger, Sis Patty. Her mother is talkative, and sometimes it affects her job negatively. However, her character recently disappeared from her home, and she left a word saying she had travelled abroad for work.
The Queen viewers were curious to know if she was fired or was on break for personal reasons. Well, it turned out that the actress took a break from The Queen to secure another acting gig. Sibusisiwe scored an acting gig on the new Mzansi Magic movie STINA. The movie will start airing on the 20th of August, and she will play Nonhle, the lead character.
STINA is a story centred on Nonhle Jones, who finds love in the arms of her best friend’s ex-lover. She soon falls pregnant and finds herself in a race against time to confess this secret before the truth reveals itself, jeopardizing her friendship and business partnership.
A look at Sibusisiwe Jili’s career in the entertainment industry
She was thrust into the limelight when she played Zanele on Isibaya. She slayed her role as Zanele, but her character was later killed, and she tried her magic in music.
Her fate on Isibaya made her venture into music with hopes of becoming Mzansi’s Gqom Queen. She released her first single in 2020, by the title Two Shelen and later joined the African Squad’s single Quantum. Sibusisiwe Jili proved that her vocals are on point, and her music was used on Isibaya.
After years without appearing on screens, the actress scored another acting gig on the telenovela The Queen as detective Georgina who is hot-headed but at the same time very kind. She has been killing her role as Georgina and is slowly becoming one of Mzansi’s favourite actresses.
Besides featuring on The Queen and Isibaya Sibusisiwe, Jili has also featured on several television soapies like Generations as a guest star. She has also been featured in the short film Maseko Ties as Molly. The actress was once a cast member on Mina Nawe as Dineo.
