Mamelodi Sundowns have signed Ricardo Goss, Haashim Domingo and Gift Motupa on five-year contracts each to make their switch to Chloorkop for the 2020/2021 season.
The Brazilians engaged in talks with the trio last a few months ago when it was certain that Bidvest Wits are preparing to sell their top-flight league status to a Limpopo businessman Masala Mulaudzi.
Thohoyandou based TTM FC announced that it has completed its purchase of Bidvest Wits FC, the deal which includes their PSL status, players and management. TTM FC has since applied for permission from the Premier Soccer League executive committee to relocate and rename one of the oldest clubs in SA football.
Mamelodi Sundowns were also after Bidvest Wits captain Thulani Hlatshwayo and Deon Hotto but the deal is believed to have been hijacked by Soweto giants Orlando Pirates.
Ricardo Goss, Haashim Domingo and Gift Motupa are all relatively young and while they will hope to break into the star-studded Sundowns team immediately upon their arrival, they are also very much the future of coach Pitso Mosimane’s outfit.
Motupa, 25, very nearly joined the Brazilians during the January transfer window, but the deal fell through at the last minute.
But the striker has been very vocal about wanting to make the switch given his appetite to play in the CAF Champions League.
