He went on to spread his wings into the transportation industry. In the transportation business, he has business interests in the car hire and taxi business. Kunene revolutionised the taxi, and car hire business with his mobile app Yookoo Rides in 2019. The application allows clients to book cabs in real time, among other features.
He has since established himself as a politician and President of the Patriotic Alliance. In the mix of things, he has since invested in other sectors, including Public Relations, Government Relations, Skills Training and Development and Mining Consulting and Investment. These businesses have provided a huge chunk of his net worth, estimated to be around R370 million as of 2022.
