In Pictures, Gomora actress Lerato Mokoka ‘Tshiamo’s salary leaked.
Actress Lerato Mokoka currently plays the role of Tshiamo Molefe on Gomora. In Mzansi Magic telenovela Gomora, the Tshiamo character is a laid back teenager who goes to Gomora High School.
Tshiamo stays in the Alexandra community with her maternal grandmother MaSonto (Connie Chiume), her mother Pretty (Siyasanga Papu) and her father Sbonga (Khaya Mthethwa). A well-reserved character who sometimes lets sensitive information slip past her tongue, Tshiamo frequently gets people into trouble for her uneasiness with delicate details.
Like father like daughter, she is risk-averse and lives according to the moral book. The reigning Miss Gomora, Tshiamo, takes her modelling career seriously but struggles to keep fame under the budding social media influencers of Sibongile and Asanda.
Over the Gomora storyline, the Tshiamo character had one of the worst experiences; she witnessed people she loved vanish into thin air. She lost her cousin Buhle (Ama Qamata), who disappeared in a suspected kidnapping ordeal, and buried Langa, who perished in an inferno. Tshiamo witnessed her father ridiculed by community members for staying with his in-laws and being unable to fend for himself.
Born on 17 January 1996 and growing up in Rustenburg, Lerato Mokoka is much older than the 16-year-old Tshiamo role. She has no acting qualification and has proved to be more talented by acing the Tshiamo role, her debut role on television.
Qualified with a degree in Financial Sciences (2017) from the University of Pretoria, she enrolled at City Varsity, where she studied a short course in video production. Lerato Mokoka is currently studying towards a qualification in action at The Market Theatre Lab.
