List of actors who got fired from Imbewu: The Seed by Leleti Khumalo (MaZulu)
Etvs drama series Imbewu: The Seed has managed to wow Mzansi with its intriguing storyline. We can all agree the series has been a game-changer when it comes to soapies in Mzansi. Since its debut, the drama series has featured some of Mzansi’s finest, but some were shown the exit doors due to their scandals.
At some point, the drama series boasted around with a starstudded cast that included the likes of Mpumelelo Bhulose, Fundiswa Zwane and Tony Kgoroge.
However, in the mix of things, some of the lead actors were unfortunate as they were axed from the drama series. Here is a list of actors fired by Leleti Khumalo, who happens to be the executive producer of the drama series that Duma Ndlovu created.

Mpumelelo Bhulose
Of late, Mzansi has been wondering where did Mpumelelo Bhulose disappear to? He made all sorts of headlines when he joined Imbewu as Zimele Bhengu. However, his on-screen character was short-lived after he was axed for not showing up on set. His woes worsened when he had a fallout with Duma, who happens to be the creator of the drama series. In 2018 he was fired for being unprofessional.
Fundiswa Zwane
With her illustrious career spanning decades, Fundiswa Zwane has the plug on Imbewu with her unmatched talent. The seasoned actress played the on-screen character of KaMadonsela. However, she was shown the exit in 2020 after she demanded a pay rise in the mix of things.
Rumour has it that her demands were above board, and the showrunners had to let her go. But it has been reported that she had a fallout with several cast members and crew before her exit. In the wake of her exit, she switched the floor to Skeem Saam. A few months after her exit, she got replaced by Brenda Mhlongo.
Tony Kgoroge
Tony was cast on Imbewu: The Seed as the second Zimele Ngcolosi Bhengu. However, he was fired by the showrunners due to salary woes. In the wake of his exit, that actor bagged a gig on SABC2’s drama series 7de Laan.
Phindile Gwala
She has been fired from several soapies because of her scandals. Mzansi waits for Fikile’s exit character, played by Phindile Gwala. In the mix of things, sources had it that she was fired from the drama series because of her incompetence. However, the showrunners cleared their name by revealing that she was leaving the show in good faith.
