She made all sorts of headlines when she dumped the SABC1 drama series barely two years after joining the show.

However, in the wake of her exit, she bagged a lead role on etvs drama series Imbewu: The Seed. She is currently nailing the on-screen character KaMadonsela. No doubt she has been making all sorts of headlines of late after replacing Funiswa on the drama series.
Of late, she is that star actress we all love to hate. Just like those before her, she started acting whilst she was young. She began with theatre arts, and her unmatched talent saw her bagging a gig on The Lion King. In the award-winning film, she starred as Rafiki.

She was once SABC Crown Gospel Music Awards guest presenter and starred as a Top Billing guest. On The Queen, she nailed the role of Zodwa before starring on Uzalo as Buhle.
However, her illustrious career and youthful looks have got Mzansi wondering how old she is. Well, it happens that she is younger than we all thought.

The bubbly actress is 41-years-old. No way on her gigs, she has been cast as an old character who have grown up kids, and with this, showrunners seem to have played us. Honestly, she cant be younger than Somizi.
Of interest is that the actress was born on 14 August 1980 in KwaMashu, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Of late, she has managed to keep her private life under wraps, but she lets Mzansi know about her love life and family. At the age of 18-years-old, she got married to Edmund Mhlongo, and they have been together for 23 years. She is a mother of three Zama, Snikiwe, and Nethezeko.
