Former Imbewu: The Seed actress Fundiswa Zwane joins Skeem Saam
No doubt she got the plug and the bling too. She has been making all sorts of headlines of late. Her onscreen character of ‘KaMadonsela’ made her one of the most celebrated star actresses in Mzansi.
We can all agree that Fundiswa Zwane exit from etv’s drama series; Imbewu: The Seed got Mzansi talking. However, the reasons behind her exit were unknown. Rumour has it the actress had a fallout with showrunners after contract woes. She was apparently told to leave the show. The character of ‘KaMadonsela’ was then re-casted by Brenda Mhlongo.
Well, it has been reported that Fundiswa Zwane will be part of the SABC 1’s educational drama series; Skeem Saam. Former Imbewu actress; Fundiswa will play the character of Sfiso’s wife ‘Nandi’. Fundiswa makes her debut on the 27th of July 2021.

Fundiswa Zwane was so spectacular on Imbewu The Seed as KaMadonsela that when the channel announced that Brenda Mhlongo would replace her, her fans threatened to boycott the show on social media. And her fans were spot on as Mhlongo is still failing to fill Zwane’s shoes on the show.
Mhlongo is drowning as KaMandonsela on ETV’s Imbewu The Seed. Some fans of Zwane even suggested that MaMlambo from Uzalo would’ve been a better replacement, as the two actresses look more similar and play similar roles. Zwane apparently left because of contractual issues with the producers of the show.
